Pope John Paul II stated
many times during his Pontificate that we live in a "culture of
death." As Catholics it is our responsibility to support life.
Why not take this opportunity to learn about an organization that is
dedicated to the "culture of life," called "Priests
For Life." But aren't all priests 'for life, I
hear you ask... Yes! The defense of the human person is integral to the ordained ministry, not something optional or extra. We
respectfully request that you share in this magnificent work with you in
hopes that you may join in some fashion.
Priests For
Life is headed up by Fr.
Frank Pavone, National Director. In this full time position, he has traveled to all of the 50 states and to five continents, preaching and teaching against
abortion and helping other priests to do the same.
Under his direction the organization has grown to 50 full time
employees. As Catholics, we have the unique opportunity to turn the abortion tragedy around.
Imagine the vast structure of the Catholic Church. In the United States alone, we have over 19,000 parishes, 9,000 schools, and 50,000 priests. If those priests can infuse that vast structure with clear, vigorous, and compassionate pro-life teaching and action, things would be vastly different.
